Second day of Christmas

Here is my offering for the UK Stampers' Second day of  Christmas challenge

Again I sponged Adirondak dye inks on cream card for the background, then stamped tassels and the beautiful grille using Prima clear stamps and raisin ink. The birds were stamped using a Wendie Rhodes stamp, once on the card with Adirondak Woodland and once on acetate with Brilliance Mineral. I tried the 'kissing' technique using a PaperArtsy swirl on the bird but it did not show as well as I hoped.

The fabulous Jennie from the Artistic Stamper is offering the chance to win some of Tim Holtz's film strip ribbon on her blog - worth having a look even if you don't win, as her blog is full of inspirational art.

UK Stampers challenge: 12 days of Christmas

Here is my first UK Stampers challenge entry - and when I master the technology I will even include a proper link somewhere.
The theme is 'The 12 days of Christmas' and you can find out more about it here

I know the instructions say to add holes but I have not, because I am not sure what I will do with the completed pieces.

The bird stamp is from Wendie Rhodes and the other stamps are by Paper Artsy, of course! What the scan does not show is the shimmer of the bird and text, which are embossed with the gorgeous Blonde Moments embossing powders.

More Teal and Orange...

It's addictive! Once I got started, I just had to try more. It's also a great way of using up papers while producing quick and easy cards, I'll have to do this more often...

Core-dinations

I have been playing with my stash of core-dinations and Cuttlebug folders, and here is the outcome.

Somehow orange and teal is a combination which I have used a lot these last few months - perhaps trying to bring a bit of colour to otherwise rather drab summer days!
